Abstract

A small-scale (48" x 48") insulated structural panel consisting of a 3-1/2"

thick, 17 pcf Compressed Agricultural Fiberboard core (CAF) faced on each

side with 7/16" Oriented Strand Board (OSB) and covered with a single layer

of 1/2" standard gypsum wallboard, produced, assembled and tested as

described herein, successfully met the thermal requirements outlined in

ASTM Method E119-00a Fire Tests of Building Construction and Materials

for a fire endurance rating of 166 minutes.
