Fire Testing 8"

Abstract

An 8" thick insulated structural panel system consisting of 14(±1) pcf Compressed

Agricultural Fiberboard core (CAF) faced on each side with 7/16" Oriented Strand Board

(OSB) and covered with a single layer of 1/2" standard gypsum wallboard, produced,

assembled and tested as described herein, successfully met the requirements outlined in

ASTM Method E119-00a Fire Tests of Building Construction and Materials for a fire

endurance rating of 2-1/2 hours while bearing a superimposed load of 1500 lbs/lineal foot.
